Hey Guys,

I'm new to this forum but it looks pretty cool, still learning my way around. Anyway thought I'd see if anyone can relate to this...the vette club I belong to in New Port Richey, FL was asked to do a high school homecoming and cart all the pretty little girls around the field in our cars. We arrived ther last night about 7 pm all shined up tops down looking good, got all lined up about 18 vettes and guess what, Yep..started to rain, not a little drissle I mean rain we got soaked tops when up, all the girls with there fancy hairdo's and gowns..soaked, I felt so bad for them. They even lost the football game. Oh well guess we can't be the sunshine state all the time. Guess I'll go clean the car. :shrug01:

Welcome to the site!

Sorry to hear about your rain soaked night. Gulf High? I graduated from there in '90.

:welcome:

:welcome: to CorvetteFlorida.com :wavey: And sorry your event was such a Rainy mess:ack2: Maybe the next 1 will make up for this Rain out.

Yep, been rained on before when I least expected it. It's too bad they lost the game as well. Nothing dampens (pun intended:D ) your spirits like mother nature adding insult to injury. BTW Welcome to the site.:welcome:

Yeah, Murphy's Law reigns supreme once again...... But maybe they'll all be laughing about it next year when they talk about it........

That's gotta $uck.

:welcome: to the forum.:wavey:

Sorry to hear that Mother Nature dumped on your parade (especially the Vette's), but I gotta tell ya.
I chuckled and still am, at the thought of everyone bailing out of your vette's, like mice off a sinking ship.:rofl1:
Sorry...

I must be having one of those days in life where everything seems to be funny.
I'm sick:ack2:

No Laughing is good, I wasn't too bad off have a vert, just had to pull the top up, but a lot of the other guys were scrambling to get there tops out of the hatch and in place..was kind of funny. I just felt bad for the girls in their gowns getting soaked and the parents that put out all the $$$. Kids take thing good, they get over it in 5 minutes and on to the next adventure. We still drove them around put the window down and they waved to their friends so not all was lost. Try again next year!:thumbsup Oh thanks for the warm welcome guys.

The kicker is...

They may be upset now, but they'll remember this homecoming and laugh about it for many years to come.
Whereas (Imo) most homecomings are forgotten about after awhile. Even if they're not forgotten, the stories are typically as dry as a popcorn fart:D .
