Never gets old...

Wassup!!!
:wavey: For me, these stories never get old...
Yesterday, Angel and I were going to Target (in the c6) and as we were making out way up to a stop sign in the parking lot, this little boy gave us a  with a Huge Smile on his face! Of course, I Couldn't let it go at that. So, I slipped it into neutral as we rolled up to the stop sign and gave him an ear full of the Magnapacks. While his momma nearly soiled herself:hehehe: , the boy's smile grew twice its original size, while his  was waving in the air.
I wonder if he'll be in a rice burner when he gets older?:shrug01:

Ray, on saturday after we had lunch with Mte.Smiles, C5Rick, and I think Z06 Rocket?, we all left the BoilerRoom. Myself, Deb and Rick left together and as we were heading east on Cortez with the 3 of us all in a row, we got the looks and kids hanging out the windows checking us out. That as you say, never gets old.

I used to get it in my Z28 a lot. Of course it was black, ground effects, had steam rollers for rear tires and was usually top down:thumbsup: Regardless of the ride, if you can make a kid smile, happy for even a minute, then you've accomplished something positive:thumbsup:

Glad you guys see it that way too....we have great people here:icon_cheers: :icon_cheers: :icon_cheers:

It's the little kid in me...

:wavey: Hey Guys,

Yea, I see it that way:thumbsup: . Mostly because, when I see a Hot car, i'm usually that same way. Especially if they light'er up for me.:dancer01:

Yup, same with us. When we go as a group, nose to tail on the interstate, the adults in the cars that pass us may gaze over casually but lots of the kids have their noses plastered to the window and they're pointing out to the vettes they like  Hopefully, they will be future corvette owners!

A few weekends ago Connie and I were in the blue C5Z and cruised through the park area on St. George Island. Caught a lot of stares from people, but one kid in particular about had a coronary. Pretty comical, actually, because the kid looked like he had seen an angel or something. Arms stiff down at his site, mouth open, and turning his whole body to follow our car around the parking lot, wide eyed. I don't think he blinked the entire time. Kind of interesting to think that maybe that one incident may live with him all his life and perhaps even be the memory that causes him to buy his own Corvette some day. Just like many of us have a singular memory when we were younger of something that we never forgot.

Hey Guys,

I think that most male Corvette owners have a strong link to the child within us! I know that may be deep, but think about the things that got us revved up when we were kids!

About the age of 5 to 6, I seem to remember that Fire trucks got my attention and I wanted to hear that siren! :yesnod:

About the age of 7 to 8, I really started to notice the different types of big trucks and yes I wanted to hear them lean on the air horn! :yesnod:

About the age of 9 to 10, I started to notice trains, and was more interested in the passenger type because of the speed, and of course the air horn that they blew going through a train crossing! :yesnod:

About the age of 11 to 12, I got my first introduction to a Corvette. My oldest brother bought a '57 and I was in heaven! :yesnod: :yesnod:

I really thought there would be nothing that impressed me more, until I got to the age of 13. Then I started to notice my older sisters friends. They were about 18 and I remember one in particular came to the house in a tank top (I am not sure they called them that back then) and bra-less. :crazy03: :crazy03: :crazy03: OMG, the fire truck, the dump trucks, the trains, and the Vettes could have gone by at the same time, revving their engines and blowing their horns and I don't think I would have noticed! :shrug01:

Yea, I think back to those times and I have to admit, I am STILL a kid at heart! Yes sir, fire trucks, big rigs, trains, Vettes and bra-less women in tank tops still get my attention!
:yesnod:  :yesnod:  :yesnod:

the teenager comes out in me again, and I'M READY TO GO! I used to be one of those "I don't own a vette, but I love them" lookers, and NOW......I'm one of those "I own a vette and still love them" lookers.
