You'll find some very helpful people here.

Did you happen to see our sister site:

www.Corvetteinternational.com

A lot of the same people and more, plus you get the "international" flavor:thumbsup:

Really happy to have you with us in any event and if there's anything we can do to assist you, let us know?

BTW, Nice car:thumbsup:

Please post more pics of your ride when you have a chance.

Oh, and I don't speak French worth a damn, so you're already ahead of me:lmao::thumbsup:

:welcome: Glad to have you here. Beautiful vette by the way.:welcome: And don't worry about speaking the language well. You are already doing better then most of us do normally.

This is a fun group and we don't take cheap shots at our people. We just enjoy their company.

Tell us about driving the roads in south France and pictures, we all like pictures:welcome:

I agree with Kap142. I'm also curious about your area. I would think a drive through the Tuscany area would be awesome.:thumbsup:

My wife and I are planning to visit Quebec and Montreal, Canada in the near future. I do not speak French but would like to at least learn enough lingo to get around. Do you know of any easy (and I mean easy) books that I could use to learn your language? I must say that your language sounds beautiful and almost melodic. I've heard that the Rosetta program is very good. Any advice would be helpful and greatly appreciated.
I am curious about one thing- Do you have a local dealer there for maintenace and repairs or how does that work in France? Best regards, Mark aka THOR.

Hi thor , I think the best way to lurn french is to begin with a very good software , books are not very good because you read ,but the more important is to ear , in two mounth you can have the basis , but the real thing that make you progress a lot will be to have dial with people , the only thing I can make for you is to give you the contact of one of my friend , she is from america and leave here since 3 years , she will come back to america in 1 or 2 mounths , contact me in private , I think you should have her in your contact ... and she s so nice:banghead:

for the localdealer , we have 2 or 3 in france , but they are not very good , they know c6 very well but not Z06 , last week , I give my car to change oil , the guy didn't know Z06 have dry pump and fill oil by the cap under the decorative red plastic ls7... like a c6 ... now I will do every thing myself !

And here it's very difficult to have a car like this , the price is arround 130 000 doll!!! 72 000 in usa I think , and to get tittle cost arround 3000 doll , and since 1/1/08 it cost 3600 doll more !!!! only taxes !! and now I JUST CAN BUY POTATOES TO EAT :rofl1:

Thanks for the feedback. If your friend is coming to Florida, just send me a pm via CorvetteFlorida. My daughter took two years of high school French. She loves the language but didn't care for her teacher's teaching methods. She said the French exchange students even thought the teacher wasn't very good. :shrug01::shrug01:

I went to France and Germany in September last year. I saw 5 Vettes total for 2 1/2 weeks, 2 in France 3 in Germany. I took pics of a black C5 in France, I will post them up here soon. I also saw a regular C6 yellow on the highway.

yes , there s a lot of C5 and some regular C6 in France because it's not too much expensive ,but here in france , when guys have enought money to get a Z06 , they prefer a "poor" Porsche cayman S with only 295 hp for the same price, just because here people don't care how much power you can have under the hood ... I realy feel alone here !!but my Z is realy much better than all european sports cars :yesnod:

I see by your profile that you are a driving teacher. Are you teaching people basic skills or performance driving?
