Hi folks...thanks for this venue....I am happy to find a venue for Florida Corvette owners and information about what is happening in our state. I will try to contribute as well as read others' information.

I live in St. Petersburg, been here since 1995, a transplant from a suburb of St. Paul, MN.
Corvettes have been a passion since a neighbor brougt one home in 1966...I was a kid, but I was hooked.
My first Corvette was a 1964 Red/black int. coupe...a very nice stock 327/300 car with knockoff wheels...
My next two were 1967 427/435 coupes one Maroon with tan, one Red with white int.
I bought a great 1988 coupe in 1989...Dk Red Metallic with black Z51 with 4+3 manual trans...it was a very nice car...sold it in 2004 to get my latest...
A 2003 Z06 converted into a convertible..a real Z06...a car Chevrolet should build...the better performing car with the top that goes down...it's a great car.

Soon to be looking for the newer 427 car Z06...

I enjoy going to car shows in Florida...if you know of some, please drop an email...

To enjoy the Car Hobby...Ford GT's and Ferraris, Corvettes, and even some of the other makes (Shelby GT500)...have captured my interest.

The high price of gasoline is too bad...it killed the hobby once long ago, and...a hybrid is a poor substitute for a high performance enthusiast. we'll all have to see what happens in the future.

It is my pleasure to be here...both in Florida, and as a member of your fine site...Thank you for the opportunity, for the information, and for the venue. I really appreciate the site.

From another J.H.

Greetings and welcome. I started "Vetting" in 1967 and haven't been without one since. Moved down here from Ohio in '93 and have never looked back. Joined our club in '93 and been a member since. Check us out at:

www.baccvette.us

We have several members in St. Pete. Again, welcome!!! :wavey:

Welcome! Stop in & see the shop some day. The vettes are pretty good on fuel, your Z should get 30 plus on the highway....thats economy car territory.

Welcome Jim! Enjoy the info here on the site! Hope to see you at some of the upcoming events!

Jim,

First, :welcome:and thanks for joining us. Check out the calendar and the events and happenings sections here and you'll find quite a bit going on.

Although we're not a "club" in the standard sense, we are more like family here. That said, we look out for one another, get together whenever possible, wherever possible, and lend a helping hand when someone needs it:thumbsup:

When we do shows, a lot of us park together and spread the word regarding the site. There are a lot of "clubs" represented here as well.

You've found a group of drivers here my friend:dancer01:

There was the Dupont Registry show this morning that you'll like if you've nevver been.

I'm in St. Petersburg/Pinellas county almost daily and I'm sure I've seen the car.

Glad you found us and look forward to a meeting in person at one of the upcoming events.

Gordon

:welcome:

Man, the spiral gray paint job looks just GREAT! Pretty interesting perspective to make a Z06 into a vert rather than the other way like many other people will do. Makes your car pretty unique....

Welcome to the family.

Welcome aboard .........great having you w/ us

As most all have already expressed, this is in deed a great site full of wonderful vette folk's.
Your Z is just great looking for sure.
Hope to meet you at the Celebration Eckler's reunion this March, or one of the up coming event's. In fact I'm really looking forward to meeting the site member's at the Reunion in Celebration.
