New Rear Spoiler Mod

I received my rear spoiler today from RPI Design and it fits perfectly and the color match is also spot on. Here are a few pictures of the prep and then the final projected completed.

I first set the spoiler in place and while my son held it there I put a few pieces of blue painters tape to mark the location.

We then removed the spoiler, and I first cleaned that area within the tape with a solution of 50% alcohol and 50% water. I did this about 5 times to make sure I had all of the wax off.

Next was to apply supplied bonding agent to the area that would have the double sided 3M tape. Once I had that dome, we placed the tape on the spoiler making sure that we kept in inside about 1/16 of an inch. As called for in the instructions, I cut the red protection material on the tape that would be in contact with the car at the lower center (at the fifth light) and peeled it back in both direction about 2 inches. We then placed the spoiler on the car making sure it was within the blue tape marks. I then peeled that red protective tape back one side at a time on the bottom. We then did the same on the top edge of the spoiler. Total time was just a little over an hour.

Here is the finished product.

I would also like to thank the young lady at RPI Designs for getting the instructions to me. They were not in the shipment, but one call and they were sent to me by e-mail. No more then 10 minutes after I call RPI I had the complete instructions.
