Nitrogen (Tires)

Jim, I had my C5 done at the dealer about a year ago. The tire pressure held very steady and required very little extra Nitrogen. The dealer adds the Nitrogen for free. Good stuff.
 
OK guys, enlighten this ole C3 driver. What are the advantages of nitrogen in the tires?:shrug01::confused:

For whatever reason the link wouldn't load but another web source said basicly that fat nitrogen molicules don't leak out as fast as air, OK and does it make my car go faster, be prettier, or sound like it's been huffing helium?
I'm still at a bit of a loss on this. I do love new ideas and approaches to things but what would I, HONESTLY, gain?:confused:
 
I've heard that if you fill the tires with helium it will make the car lighter.... When you do a burnout, the squeal of the tires is also at a higher pitch... :rolleyes:

I love it. So what happens if I use my diving mix of Nitrox in my tires? Will I be able to have more bottom time or less time between cruises?:ack2:
