I dug this up while camping and planted it when I got home and now I am itching like crazy. Can anyone identify it? Thanks.

Looks like some form of bromeliad to me. Never heard of them causing any sort of reaction directly, but since they tend to hold water, I'm sure lots of bugs will make a home in them. Sure you didn't get into some poison ivy at the same time?
Where were you camping?

I'm pretty certain it's the plant that's giving me the itchies because of the way it made contact with that part of my arm and there was no ivy around. I've been hit with poison ivy and poison oak, so I know the effects of those plants. I Google searched what you suggested and believe you are correct.
We were camping on my friend's land in Bunnell, not at a campsite- just good ole tents. He has 50 or so acres. There is n-o-t-h-i-n-g around.
