I had read recently about the Ferrari Enzo, the complete brake job with rotors $25,000. When you pay over 1 million for a car, I guess that is what you woud have to expect.Z06 Rocket said:The Ferrari Enzo's brakes are something like $6k or $8k to replace every few thousand miles or one hard auto cross day later.
Same here!:rofl1:EZ GOIN said:Now I really feel cheap, I quit taking my car to the dealer for oil changes cause I didn't like paying the 70 bucks for it:yesnod:

The article I read I don't remember much about any more. Except the price of the brake job. The magazine borrowed the Enzo from a contractor/builder and his son so they could put the car through a few tests for a supercar comparison.Z06 Rocket said:Gez what I heard must just be pads then, with no rotors,,,,,,

The money doesn't stop flowing once the Enzo is in your garage, either. According to a 2003 Car and Driver article, replacing the brake pads costs $6,000, and the carbon-ceramic brake rotors go for $24,000. A special oil must be used (or else Ferrari will consider the warranty void) -- the oil costs $60 a quart. Oil required: Shell Helix 10w60 (syn) $60 a quart, 12.2 quarts are required. That's $732 before you even get to the filter and labor! :shocking:
