rain issues

When it would rain for brief period, all dash warning lights would come on but would disappear if I restarted the car. Now with all of the constant rain, the warning lights will not go out, windows won't open and AC won't work.
Found some dampness in the passenger side, dried the carpet and cleaned the cowl drain tube and checked what grounds I could find, thanks to Mr. AV.
Still having the same issues, but car is running great just uncomfortable to ride in.
Looking for ideas. Could the computer be going out, as my 99' C5 has 127K
on it. Looking for any possible solutions. Thanks ahead of time.

Sounds like a ground issue, but where, I wouldn't have a clue. I see we are in the same neighborhood. If you'd like another eye to check things out, just shoot me a PM with your contact info and I can stop by sometime. I'm booked this weekend, but I'm sure I could find time after work next week if you'd like.

SHAKEDOWN- I will take any help that I can get.

Canterbury Villas- 1200 Seminole
I could also meet you somewhere.
My battery went dead and had it recharged. When it was hooked back up the courtesy light relay was humming, so I pulled it out. Now the battery doesn't go dead, at least so far. I have to turn the key a few time before it seems to connect and start. Thanks for any help.

Read some topics on the Corvette Forum and found some similar issues to mine. Guy had his drivers door control panel not work and had all the same symptoms. Mine is out also. Fixed a ground wire in the control panel and everything went back to normal. Going to try this weekend to get it sorted out. Don't really have the extra funds to take it to AV right now. Read up on how to take apart everything and what to look for. Not mechanically inclined but willing to try. Seems to be allot of C5 electrical issues on the forum.

OK, let me ask again. Do you know how to check for codes? If you do, are there any?

CODES

Tried to write all codes but was moving pretty fast. Categories are:
10-PCM-
28-TCS-U1255
40-BCM-U1096
58SDM-U1301
60-IPC-U1040
80- RADIO
99-HVAC
AOLDCM- NO COMM
RDCM
A6 SCM
BORFA
Hope I copied those right. Four or more codes for each category- 28,40,58. 60. I couldn't copy them fast enough. Will try to get more codes when after work. Thanks for any help.

OK, now we go here:
http://www.corvetteflorida.com/forums/showthread.php?t=975

Then we'll see this:

U1255 Serial Data Line malfunction

U1096 Loss of Communications with IPC

U1301 Class 2 Circuit Shorted to battery Refer to Data Link Connector System Check in Wiring System

U1040 Loss of Communication with TCS

Now if I were you I would Google these problems and somewhere you'll find the answer. I would start with the Data Link (U1301).

Do you know how to clear the codes? Just manually go to each one and hit reset. Good luck.

Well, car fixed itself. Must have been a dampness issue and finally dried itself out. No more bells and whistles going off, windows works and so does
everything else. Thanks for all of the info and help.

But you still have the problem. It will be back.
