rear spindle bearing replacement

I discovered today that the rear spindle bearings are shot in my 77'. Also that the two stabalizer bars are bent and need replaced. Any idea where to get the above parts at a decent price and any idea on what it might cost to have the bearings pressed out and the new ones in? thanks - kip

We do it all in-house here. Just a bit of a drive for you. Try Greg at Antivenom also.

Thanks. I went to the local corvette guy here in Inverness and looked around his shop at the cars he had in at that time. Talked with him about the problem, and long story short is he'll take care of the rear end, plus replace the bottom front ball joints and do something to the front springs to bring the front of the car down where it should be for about 450 - 500 or so.... I'm taking it to him on Monday. This is more that I want to deal with... he'll have it done in two days, it'll take me two months... and still may not be right. Thanks - kip

I like to do most of my own stuff but sometimes it's just more convenient to take it to the shop. Case in point;

About a month ago I was going to replace the tranny and diff fluids in my wifes '01 6sp. I have the tools to do it myself and was planning to spend the day jacking the car up and setting it on jackstands all around, draining the old fluid out of the tranny and differential, adding it to my ever growing collection of used oil, locating my handy suction pump and hand pump the fluids into their respective gearbox, clean all the spilled fluid from the surrounding area, jack the car back up and remove the jackstands, clean my tools, put the jack and jackstands away, then clean all the spilled tranny fluid off me and the garage floor.

A Job Well Done. OR,... I could take it over to RevXtreme, have those guys do it and be in and out in under an hour.

Hmmmmm?

Thanks to the guys at RevXtreme.

:lmao::lmao:Exactly what I was thinking!:thumbsup:

By the time I pay for the oil & fluids, damage to the car that I will inevitably do, the medical bills and pennance for my language, hell, it's cheaper to take it to someone that does this stuff for a living!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
