C5 replacing shocks

my car rolled over the big 100k a little while ago. i havent noticed any problems with the suspension, but ive read that the shocks should be replaced around this time. anyone have suggestions? its my daily driver. also, while im in there should i look into looking any other components? thanks
 
Hi!! I put new 2010 Z06 shocks on my 2000c5 with 98,xxx miles and also changed the plastic end links to the new metal links. Made the ride better!! Got them from GMdirect.com
 
Makes a huge differnace.

I usually dont see them wore out by 100k, but the cost is low & the plastic endlinks can "fold over" under sever cornering and scare the heck out of you.

Easy DIY job also.
 
My car is a 2000 also with 29750 miles on it. I have the F-45 suspension which I love, but they sure are expensive if I want to replace them. Id go with the Z06 shocks
 
thanks for everyonese input. zo6 sounds good to me. f-45 would be nice, but ive got bills to pay. (not to mention i need new tires too:banghead:)
 
yeah, there pretty bad. im not looking forward to that trip. ive been getting periodic "service tps" messages. once every few months. so im assuming the batteries will be going soon. so while i have the tires off going to do them & do a front end alignment. im going to talk to the good people of corvette shop and supply today and see what this venture is going to put me back
 
Havnt been on fora while so this might be alittle late for your tire purchase but I saved money by buying Michelin pilot sport zp (runflats) tires. They are cheaper then goodyear and I think ride better and tread looks more aggresive.
 
i got some some throw aways on the front. after the holidays im looking to replace rims and tires all around. anyone have a rims/tire package for sale?
