Service ABS traction control issues???

Looking for advice. My ABS traction control system worked fine until my 2000 C5 sat for a month waiting on the replacement of the Heads after a failed head gasket leak. Now the engine runs fine but the ABS traction control wont work. First I had the code C1243 and using my diagnostic computer I did the pump test and it came back with "okay". I then activated each solenoid with the computer and each time the ABS warning came up on the DIC. This also caused the 40 amp fuse to blow whic I replace but after that the system still does not work. Today I ran codes again with my computer and got no codes for the ABS but when I start the car I get the ABS warnings in the DIC and the ABS is not on. The pump test read "okay" and I activated each solenoid and still nothing. I did the solenoid activation again with the car running and got the message on my computer, "BPMV relay is off". Also the 40 amp fuse was blown. Evern after that I still have no diagnostic codes thrown for the ABS. Any help is appreciated.

I assume you tried a system reset by disconnecting the battery..... I have had that code show up every now and again, but a reset would clear it for me. The only time I had a hard failure was when a wheel speed sensor went out.

Yeah I did the reset with the battery. Still no ABS/traction control. Also cleaned the ground on the front passenger rail but no change. Still get the DIC ABS warnings any time I start the car. The traction control button on the center console does not do anything. If I run the ABS pump test with my Autel diagnostic computer and it comes back okay does that mean my problem is with the module and not the pump?

Well the 40 amp fuse blowing is definitely a bad sign. Something is drawing a LOT more current than it should be. Sorry, I am not that familiar with the ABS system to be able to point a finger at the problem. Usually a relay is designed to allow a small control current to trigger a much larger current to something.

Any work been done to your car directly prior to the problem showing up?

I had a head gasket leak and had the heads repaired. Thats all lately. The car did sit at the shop for three weeks.

I got an ABS error after some work had been done on my car. Turned out that a pin had been jerked loose in one of the connectors.

I think I will check out the harness just in case. I had that happen years ago. Just pushed the wire in and all worked fine, Do you know of anyone who would be interested in buying a pair of front Bilstein DRM shocks. They have about 10,000 miles on them. Just too stiff for the roads around here. I switched to the B6 for the front and still have the DRM's on the back but might change then to B6.
