Speedo Question

I think I'm loosing my mind but I'm going to ask anyway ...:banghead:

As I look at my dash it seems to me that the illuminated MPH on the speedo changes intensity as I accelerate. I immediately figured that I've got some kind of voltage regulation problem but everything checks out fine. The alternator and battery both check out.

There are no other indications of this anywhere else. That is the only thing that fluctuates at all. None of the power switches cause a dimming of lights, change in volt meter on the dash, or externally attached.

Any ideas or am I really loosing my mind? :shrug01:

Could the HUD dimmer switch be going bad?
