Im in no way the master tech Greg..lol but it sounds like a body control module to me. </not the expert> sounds like it would drive me nuts

Another idea.... since I am not near you:
Send Jerry Goodman an email...He is Marion County Corvette (Central Florida Corvettes) in Ocala...President and ask him who can look at your Corvette other than a dealership.

Thanks for all of your replies so quickly, I had hit on all the sugesstions already. Talked to a dealer tech today and he also faxed me some wiring digrams. Way too nasty tonight to get into it . Did get a chance to find the grounding point, feels tight but will clean and retorque ( the column is linked thru the seat control module also). Will keep you posted. Again thanks for the interest.

What about the switch bank on the driver's side door? Could a bad switch cause this sort of problem? All of those settings are stored so pressing the button will recall the settings and make all those units go to the desired positioning. :shrug01:

checked the ground at the left b-pillar. It was tight. Looking at the schematics I have-- where is the left hand seat relay center? I dont see it on the under side of the seat!!:banghead:
