C3 Steering gear box

So how do you determine if the steering gear box has grease after oh say 36 years?

I ask because.......... I just bought a neat little grease fitting nipple that screws into one of the top cap screws so you can lube the box and mine was farkin near dry/empty.

Junkie, whats the correct lube for a gear box and what should the level be?
