what kind of rubber are u putting to the ground on your c5 z06? i've burnt up another pair of eagle f1 sc and im looking for alternatives
I just put a set of TOYO PROXES TR1 on my 2003 Z06 and did AutoCross this weekend and was very impressed on how well they held in extreme driving conditions. Have not driven them yet in Wet conditions.

Scott, you mentioned that you had the KDW2s and the Firestones. Can you tell us which ones you like better?
That's kind of interesting. I also got a screw through the tread on my right rear tire not long after I got my new tires. :shrug01:
Use a Mushroom type plug!!:thumbsup:It is interesting. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I have pulled two objects (nails, screws, etc.) out of the right rear of my Z16. I have plugs in them, but one of them is not holding. I was going to pick up a new Supercar tire but GY has them on backorder. I just picked up a used one that will take care of the immediate problem, but I think I am going to replace these tires so I was really curious about this thread.

Thanks Scott!
Well if the KDWs are noisy then that would eliminate them. One of the reasons I replaced the runcraps on the '01 vert with the GS D3s was the road noise. I also find it interesting that you also have had issues with picking up crap in the right rear. What is it with the right rear tires on the Z06s and road garbage?
Anyway, thanks for the response. That information will at least pull the KDWs off the table for me.

I find them to be the quietest NON RFT I have had and so far I have had
KDWs currently
