went for a ride up aia north to palm beach,passed 7 vettes,2 waved rest to lazy???.Maybe i am to old,63 but in the old days you were PROUD to drive a VET.Please answer. norton delray beach...

Make sure your fog light switch is in the "on" position and when you pull your headlight stalk toward you the fogs will flash. When I see a Vette coming I hit the "flash to pass" feature and that seems to get their attention. Hardly ever miss a wave now!!! :wavey:

I think it's more a case of not everyone is scanning ahead at oncoming traffic for other vettes. So they just may not see you. Heck sometimes I'm just zoned out enjoying the drive and don't see another oncoming vette until it just passed me. Connie waves at vettes no matter what we are driving at the time. I tell her that they just are NOT looking at pickup trucks and vans, so they certainly are not going to see her waving. Heck, one day I passed her in her truck and didn't notice her waving at me neither..... I got out of that one by telling her I don't typically drive down the road looking for pretty girls in pickup trucks to be waving at me...... :hehehe:

Maybe just some folks aren't familiar with the tradition..hey, I even wave at Corvettes when I'm driving my cop car...get some funny looks too.![]()
