C3 To Restore or Not to Restore

My '75 L-82 has a body that's looking Great after a lot of restoration but now it's time to get down to the nitty gritty of getting all the running gear working up to snuff!! The engine has been hopped up with high rise manifold, headers, cam, bore / stroke and runs like a scalded dog! Now for the bad news. It's been sitting for almost 5 yr with only an occasional engine start up. The radiator leaks, the power steering actuator leaks, left rear brake leaks, and it looks like there may be a trans or engine seal leak as the trans is leaving a puddle and fluid is always low.

The car is Lookin' Great but needin' Help !! My dilemma --- is it worth the rest of the time & money to complete the job ?????

HELP

If you do it right, you will have, for all intents and purposes, a brand new 75 that should run for a BUNCH of trouble free miles! How much you love the Vette will be a major factor in how much you put into it.

Yeah - I guess you're both right! It is a Corvette, and If I do the rest of the job right, it would be worth the time / money. This will probably be an interesting "Project" but from what I've seen on this website, there are some beautifull cars out there that needed a lot more work than mine!!!

Thanks for the support !!

No. Unless you have done this before you will be disappointed and it will
cost you a arm and leg.
If you really love this car forget what I said and go for it because it's
part of the family.

Yeah, I think it is definitely worth while. A Corvette always tends to retain value, and restorations of any kind help to increase that value, whether it be for you or a future owner. So if you intend to keep it, it's worth restoring, and if you plan on selling it, it is also worth restoring. So no matter how you look at it, it's worth doing.
