Torque tube bushings:

RevXtreme 1

This is the worst we have seen, but have yet to take one apart and see them not needing replacement:

If having a vibration you can't find...this could be the cuprit.

Highly reccomend replacement whenever your having a cluthch/rear diff/TC replaced.

Come on Tracy!

Just wrap them up good and tight and slap on a little duct tape. Will be good as new:lmao:

Ouch...... :ack2:

Yeah, Chris put some new *solid* bushings on the list for my build.

He also talked me into a carbon fiber driveshaft after telling me about the rubber "donut" on the stock driveshaft to keep it from contacting the inside of the torque tube if the driveshaft whipsaws under high power applications of torque.

Whenever the drivetrain is taken apart, then it is time to think about doing as many upgrades as you can.

No you can't.... :toetap05: EVERYONE knows that you need WD40 as well... :yesnod:
If it doesn't move and should ........... WD-40!
If it moves and shouldn't ........... Duct Tape!
Most everything else is a duplication of effort.
Andy :thumbsup::wavey:

Guys, since I've never seen a "GOOD" torque tube.........:nonod:
since I really hope to NOT see mine..........:rofl1:
and since I'm a curious kinda guy that likes to learn........:yesnod:
could you please post a picture or 2 of what a "good" one looks like so I have
something to compare? Thanks guys.......you rock! Lotsa good info and pictures
being posted by y'all.
Andy :wavey:

Here you go Andy.Tracy replace mine while the tranny was out. Look close and you'll see fractures around almost all of the bushings.

I'd have to assume that the bushing came apart and it has cords molded in the rubber to add strength. Those look like the cords and what's left of the rubber is in the bell housing. :shrug01: Bet that made some noise.

Yeah.... probably polished up the inside of the housing quite well with those cords wiping the inside surface at high speed.
