Unions Want to Take Over Your 401(k)

The SEIU (Andy Stern's and Obama’s union) is promoting a plan to centralize all retirement plans in the United States. The plan is called "the Retirement USA Initiative" and it would create one government pension plan for all American workers.
Here are some of the basic tenets of this government retirement plan:

Benefits that move with you, even if you change jobs or don't have a job because you are a moocher.

Payouts only at retirement, the government will take care of you after that!

Shared responsibility among employers, the government and employees

Pooled assets, controlled by professional investment managers (government bureaucrats spreading the wealth)

What's not being said here is that this grand retirement plan will eventually result in the confiscation of all privately-held retirement accounts. This means your 401K plans, your IRAs and even your private pension plans. You can’t let some people have more set aside for retirement than others, that just wouldn’t be fair. Everyone deserves the same retirement income, right?

Unions and our fascist administration hard at work for you.

OK Obama and union zombies, entertain us by defending your leaders.

I cannot believe people come up with this stuff. If something like this goes to the current congress for a vote, my 401k will be cashed out in short order.

"ISM" here we come, Communisim, Socialism, Facism, whatever the ISM here it comes! The gun issue got back burnered but wait till that comes back. Obama is a huge anti gun nut, but that helps prevent armed revolts against the goverment machine that takes over our lives. Mousilini did it, Hitler did it, Stalin did it............

I think the difference here, is we still have enough people that are not willing to lay down, that they can and will stand up against the machine.

...and they'll never get all the weapons....;)

I'm not holding my breath that I will get a pair of the same rose colored glasses you are looking through any time soon Shadow.... ;)

King Obama is on a roll already.

Trust me, my glasses are anything but Rosey:yesnod:

It's still a fact that there's a grass roots movement afoot to fight back...not necessarily with violence (although I'm afraid it may come to that:NoNo:), but with the pen!

He's got a strangle hold but it can be broken.

Now, if some uni-brow decides to get stupid and get violent against the "establishment", that will do absolutely nothing for anyones case but strengthen the governments:(

Now is the time for sound, level headed, strategic planning....

I agree 100%. I think we are right on the edge and it can get ugly very quickly. I have talked to many people that share my feelings and we will not allow the "machine" to take over.

Pelosi walking with her huge gavel proves they just don't have a clue.

Well, I would just like to see someone try to confiscate my retirement savings. They will soon find out why I've been saving guns and ammunition as well.... :hehehe:

You're another example of what I stated. We're all thinking the same thing. Who would have ever dreamed of this crap a few years ago?

Unfortunately, a lot of people:(

Then it was over "privacy concerns" and excess spending (ie: Bush admin and the "Patriot Act" intrusions into our daily lives and privacies).

Now, it's over $$$, freedom, privacy issues (again) and rights.....There will always be something.

Even with Bush 1&2, I've never seen this many people openly outspoken about the prez.

Gonna be an intersting few years.....

That's what I was saying. I have NEVER seen anything comparable to what's going on now. If this admin doesn't quit with the 'control', people will take a stand and it could get real ugly.
