As some of you know i'm in the market for a new ride. But I ran into these figures last week. There are 300 unsold 2007 still with dealers. There are 7000 unsold 2008's still sitting on the dealer lots.E bay has 100 plus for sale each day.Z06's seam to be the biggest bargins.

In my case I have to take delivery before year end (tax issue) and my boss has ordered me to wait 4-6 wks .

But I thought the figures we're intreasting.:yesnod:

Yep. It's a sad fact that the economy, combined with rediculous fuel cost, have created a huge slump in discretionary spending and performance car buying. A lot of people too, just didn't see enough of a jump in quality, performance, and overall appeal to switch from thier current C6 to a newer model. Some wouldn't even trade up to the C6 from a C5?

They're going to have to do something tremendious to the next generation to make many people even think about trading.

Most people that want a DD, want something with better fuel economy. Although I think that to be able to drive a vette (or any performance car) and still get low 20's in town, is not a bad deal.

Seeing as how most people DD thier cars to and from work, unless you live an hour from work, I just don't see it as that big of a deal?

If you're like me and put on 1-300+ miles a day...different story.

A lot of peopole are not playing with thier "discretionary income" as they once were. Saw an article the other day where even the "rich" are becoming more careful.

Personally, I hope it holds out until I'm ready for a new ride...I might break down and buy another new car:thumbsup: (not likely though unless the deal was unbelieveable!):D

If I thought I would not take a beating on my 03Z I would be all over this..
2008
Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 0% APR 60 mo
Chevrolet Corvette Coupe 0% APR 60 mo
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 0% APR 48mo

A couple of months back I browsed around some until I asked 3 dealers about numbers. They basically wanted me to had them my keys. I'm not a big fan of the C6 or losing big money,so I'll stay with the C5.

Yeah, I guess the dealers really don't want to stock 2009s on the lots if they are still chock full of the 2008s. People are just holding onto their money not sure what tomorrow is going to bring. No one really wants an unnecessary car payment hanging over their heads right now.

Realistically, as long as your older vette is running good and not eating you out of house and home with repair bills, why buy a newer one? They ALL still look good, no matter what generation......

I agree all vetts are special. My problem is finially sold my 03 (possible mistake)now i'm vett-less.It's a terrible feeling being Vett-less.

I'm going to buy from the Nashua NH dealer but if it gets to late in the year I might have to have it drop shipped to Florida.

I wonder if anyone would be willing to pick up the car for me?

If something were to "happen" to Gordon I'd like to be next in line for the pickup duty.
I'm fairly trustworthy, devestatingly handsome and love Vettes.
I'm not saying I would intentionally "do" anything to Gordon so that he couldn't make it though...:reddevil::reddevil:
