A bunch of us coming down from the Citrus County Corvette Club.

Checks in the mail. :D

P.S. I'm always one of the judges in the "Covettes in the Sunshine" show in Citrus County. Maybe we can do a deal. :rofl1:

Yeah, I missed it too:(. New said it was going to pour so I stayed home and got some work done. When will I learn NEVER to listen to a weather guesser???:banghead: :banghead:

Please post some pics:thumbsup:

I only got to shoot a few but will put them up later tonight.

I am very upset about the lack of bribes..... :D

Oh, did I say it was friggin' HOT.....

Great turn out though, and got to meet a couple of people from this Forum.

Thanks to all the people who put this event together and to everyone who attended.....

Just got back from our club meeting. One guy won the mayors trophy ( I think) and also won the 50/50! He was a happy corvette owner. He said the party was great and it was a very nice event. So Russ, please pass the compliment on to the organizers

Will do. Takes a lot of work to put this particular event on. I had many people tell me the day of the show how much they were enjoying it.

I only wish I'd had more time to socialize. Dennis and I spent over 3 hours judging the C-2's.

Oh, and if the C-2 owner who locked his doors reads this, we need to be able to see the inside of the car to judge it. We looked for you several times to try to get the doors unlocked, but could not find you. That cost you 49 points....

Out of a possible 119 points, our top three totaled:

107 points and two tied at 106.5.....since the awards were for the "Top Three" and not 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, the tie did not need to be broken up.

Here's a few more tips just in case you're interested:

Be sure to wipe under the fenderwells.
You don't need to "shine" your tires, but don't have mud on the sides.
Vacuum your carpet. Sand, dirt, leaves, grass, and a potato chip does NOT cut it.( )
CLEAN YOUR ENGINE COMPARTMENT......good ole' isopropol alcohol and a q-tip does wonders on an intake manifold.
Clean your wheels. I was amazed at how many car's wheels were dirty.

While Dennis and I did not pay real close attention to "NCRS standards", we did pay very close attention to the basics of being prepared for a car show.

Here's just a few pix I was able to shoot. Sorry there aren't many, but by this time I was just too hot to keep going. This is only a drop in the bucket of the cars that were there....

These people really know how to throw a FIRST CLASS party! This was our 3rd year and there is no doubt we will be there next year!

If there was a Constructive Criticism it would be to have the 50/50 style drawings throughout the day instead of at the end.

But HEY, someone always has to complain don't they?! :rofl1:

This show is sandwiched between two others and of the three, it is a MUST attend!

Thanks for a great time!

;)
