Veteran beaten by carjacker

That piece of dung needs to be dragged for a few miles behind the car...I can't believe people would stand by and watch that happen. :nonod:

Wish that old guy had had a gun on him. Put that piece of trash attacker 6 foot under where he belongs. All those people standing around should be considered as accessories to the felony as well, as they were obviously a group associated with the attacker. What the hell has gotten into people?

That reminds me, I REALLY need to find a way to mount a handgun inside the vettes to make them easy and FAST to get to.......... At least in Florida, you are fully within your rights to protect yourself with deadly force in instances like this.

I agree. What does it say about our society when people will just stand by and let an old man get beaten? Who was it who said long ago, "All that's needed for evil to triumph is for good men to stand idly by"?

Anyone else see this?

Makes me want to beat that worthless SOB to within an inch of his worthless life!!

Here mofo, come hit me!;) BTW? Do you happen to have a good dentist?:reddevil:

When the various veterans groups (VFW, American Legion,VVA, etc) get hold of this, SOMEONE's gonna see that carjacker about some "restitution". My dad's a 91 year old WWII Marine Corps Veteran, and if it happened to him, the carjacker would have to contend with 2 sentences. The courts, and mine. Mine would be a LITTLE stiffer!
Andy (this POS doesn't deserve a "wavey!)

Unbelievable

I don't think the majority of people have empathy for others anymore. But your dealing with a jackass that obviously has no empathy and the people around him standing by have never been taught it either. He'll get whats coming to him. It may not be now but he will have to answer for it someday. It sure is a shame that we live in a society that is not grounded anymore on Morales and respect.:nonod:

I guess that nowdays, everyone is too damn scared of getting "a cap snapped at their ass" that we just look the other way. Wouldn't be too bad if it was you 1 on 1 with the bad guy, but he probably has 3 or 4 of his buddies hangin out waitin to pounce on someone that makes a move. Makes 'ya wonder...............
Andy

Well I looked at the video again and am pretty certain that that "crowd" is closely associated with the attacker. They probably all came to the store together in that car they are standing in back of, or walked onto the parking lot together. Of course they are not going to interfere with one of their own attacking a stranger. Chances are they probably encouraged it.

I'd like to see the video BEFORE the attack actually took place to see that car pulling into the parking lot and who all got out of it. Or if that entire group walked into the parking lot together, if they were not associated with the other car. They were NOT innocent bystanders, and should be charged accordingly as possible gang members engaging in the crime as a group.

Good news

I just heard they caught the guy and he pled not guilty. But if found guilty he is facing life in prison!!:dancer01: :yesnod:

Not guilty.... hah! He's probably going to claim that old guy attacked him first and he acted in self defense. Threatened to run him over with the car so he took it away from him......

Get that animal off of the streets and into prison where he belongs.

Though you're probably right, there are always "the few, the brave, the Marines", well that's the wrong quote.

I was thinking about the guy who jumped on the N.Y.C. subway tracks to help the kid who fell. He laid down on top of him and rode it out as the train ran above them.

There are still heros out there.

Speaking of modern day heroes, the guys on United Airlines Flight 93 who tackled the terrorists have MY vote.

Lot's of heros that day. Did you see the movie "World Trade Center" staring Nicolas Cage ? I bought it last week from Amazon.com, (along with a couple of corvette books). I really didn't want to watch it. I almost felt as if I'd rather forget.

Never Forget!

Be sure to see it. It will make you proud, sad, happy, angry and uplifted. It is definitely not the typical Oliver Stone movie.

Eric

Prison is too kind.......we need to bring back the good ol' days, where you find the perp at the end of a rope. WTC was an excellant movie, saw it in the theaters first......cried through most of it. Just saw United 93 at home, even though I knew the way it ended, I was hoping for the "happy ending".

Never forget!!!!!

Oh, I'm not liable to forget. Nor will I forget the newscasts showing populations in various mideast countries dancing in the streets with joy over that event. I would have contributed greatly to send over cases of ammo with the bullets stuffed with bacon bits for our troops to do their own dancing. For those who don't know, something about their religion makes anything made from pig products strictly taboo. So being shot with bullets stuffed with bacon bits would prevent them from going off to the promised land when they die.

I believe their religion promises them a bevy of naked virgins if they die while engaged in a jihad (holy war). Well maybe so, but for those who avoid the bacon bits laced bullets, I do hope those virgins all turn out looking like Rosie O'Donnell...... :lmao: Probably would be real easy to find virgins that way, I would imagine....

Yes my friend, there still are:thumbsup:

Take a look at this posted on another forum:

Today, while taking care of some bidniz, I had the opportunity to run into an 18 year old male in a not so good part of town.

First glance, long greasy hair, redneck baseball cap on backward, dirty, baggy jeans, and a KISS T-shirt.

We get to talking while I'm waiting for this joker to return.

Seems a TPD officer was shot twice on Friday the 11th while assisting a bailbonds man with a recovery. The officer was shot once in the face and once in the shoulder with a .44 handgun at rather close range.
Here's a link to the story:

http://policelink.com/news/articles/...-shot-in-tampa

What the story doesn't mention is this.

The kid and his step father were preparing thier gear to go fishing (about 6am) when they heard a woman scream. They thought something was happening at the nearby bus stop and ran over to look?

They instead see the officer staggering backward down the street, weapon drawn and aimed at the attacker, and in pretty bad shape

As he approaches thier position, they grab him and drag him to cover.

They move the officer again to a better position of cover, the only thing they had available. A Jeep, another large truck and an oak tree.
They figure at least this might slow the incomming rounds down a bit.

See, I failed to mention that the azzhat that shot the cop, was in the road, walking toward them and still firing!!!

The back up officer was fighting with the wife who had provided a distraction to allow her b-friend/hubby/rent a dick or WTF ever he was to load his weapon and come out firing!!!

The only other person there was the POS bondsman, armed with his trusty cannister of PEPPER SPRAY???

Anyway, this maggot hears the responding units and retreats back inside the house where, after a short standoff, he blows what little brains he has out onto the wall

Only down side to this natural order of things is that he did it in front of the wife, mother and kids. I don't care a dime about mom and the wife, since they had been living high on the hog off the proceeds of his criminal endeavors for God knows how long? But the kids don't deserve to see that...any of it

They can't help it that daddy is a maggot

I didn't get any pics of the kid, but believe me when I tell you that if you saw him walking through a residential area, fellow LEO's would probably stop and havbe a talk with him.

You just never know where your guardian angel will come from

I hope he and his step father are awarded the medal for bravery/heroism/valor or what ever TPD calls it!!! They certainly deserve it.

BTW, the maggot had a history of violence and CCW.
