Right
:shrug01:WTH did he just say?:lmao:The amount of reputation YOU have is determined by the number of green blocks in your profile section. The POWER FACTOR is the number near that rep display which shows you the relative POWER of your ability to grant positive rep points.
There also exists the ability to issue NEGATIVE rep points, but since I have had difficulties with people abusing that power on my other sites, I did not want that to happen here, and have therefore disabled that capability.

Now that was simple enough for even me to understand:thumbsup::thumbsup::lmao:
Interesting... not an entirely logical system without some way to subtract points. A blind squirrel may find a nut every now and then, but if the majority of the posts spew bad/incorrect/misleading information, they could appear really trustworthy if they make a good post every now and then over a long period of time.
What I'm trying to say is that this feature could be misleading. Ever been on a site where some retard makes mod? He's brought on for being a friend, but spews bad information. People believe him because, hey, he's a mod, so he knows what he's talking about. Right?
And theoretically speaking, couldn't you just give yourself the rep point? The admins don't have a limit on how many they can cast. Hmmm...:crazy9:
The idea behind the rep points is for EXCEPTIONALLY good posts to be rewarded by others. But of course, some people can abuse an anvil with a rubber hammer...... And negative points really don't do anything more than to piss off the person who gets them.
As for giving yoursel rep points, nope you can't do that unless you create a false account and do it that way. As for the admin, that's me, and I have no incentive to abuse the system at all.
