• Got the Contributing Memberships stuff finally worked out and made up a thread as a sort of "How-To" to help people figure out how to participate. So if you need help figuring it out, here's the thread you need to take a look at -> http://www.corvetteflorida.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3581 Thank you, everyone! Rich Z.

What that pumk teenager has been up to

Thought I'd make a thread about what's been going on recently, since I figured that some people might find it interesting.

First off, my 87Z had a bearing go out, so I have been having... fun... rebuilding it. Won't get much into details, but everything is new pretty much and I added powdercoated goodness. I might even get it running this month. :hehehe:

Now something else happened you guys will definitely have an interest in. My dad got a new car. And then he stole the Vette for a photoshoot while I was busy working on the Z. It's funny that he actually thinks he owns that car but anyway, he got an XLR.

Then while my dad was going to the store, the engine started knocking in the Vette. Ran fine the day before. :banghead: So it is back to lawn ornament status until I get the Z running long enough to reclaim the garage.

That punk teenager is doing just fine.

The future is in good hands after all. :yesnod:

O that XLR rrrraaaaaawwwwwl Highly collectible now too.. I hope I win the lotto so I can get one and the new 2010 cts-v coupe

Dad didn't get just an XLR--he wisely got an XLR-V!!

That's a negative, it's just got the V grille. He's coming around to modifying it pretty quickly since he's coming to the realization that in about a month my Z will be up and running and be faster than his XLR. And then it will most likely blow something up, during which time his will technically be faster (as it runs).:hehehe:

It's an interesting car to drive, though the throttle is disappointing IMO. I sincerely hope that the gas pedal on the C6 is more refined. Other than that, a very nice car. The HUD is sweet, too, even if I don't really know how to work it.

Anyway, he got a really good deal on it. With the STS as a trade in, he didn't really pay that much for the XLR than he did for the STS.
