People.........I JUST gotta tell y'all that I'm a bit envious :yesnod: ! Here I sit in Massachusetts reading all the posts about shows and rides knowing that most of the people up here haven't even gotten all the "stuff" off of (and away from) their cars yet. Damn near makes me want to cry! It'll be over a month before we make it back down there, but I've already had my wife take down all the calendars, and I've started on meds. As long as I've got the forum to rely on, I T-H-I-N-K I can make it! Just keep posting those pictures of what I'm missing and it's sure to help! Sure does get lonely without "the ride"!

You know Andy, it's real easy for us down here to forget the weather is different in other places. I'm surprised many times when I look at the weather channel and see snow or ice storms and cold weather when it's sunny and in the 80's here.....gee, it makes me glad I'm on this end of the computer...:yesnod:
This was supposed to make you feel better but I don't think it came out right...:shrug01:

It doesn't matter........I'M ON MEDS!!!!!:D :D :D It really is OK, cause "I live vicariously thru the rest of you". I can tell when you're happy, and it makes me happy. I can tell when your sad, and it makes me glad I'm not there :hehehe: :hehehe: . Anyway. as long as CorvetteFlorida is up, running, and a part of my life, I'll be OK. Just keep them :pics: and descriptions coming! If you guys slack off I'll wind up in Ray's Room, and you DO NOT want that

I know just hoe you feel. I was down last week and it was perfect!!! My wife and I were talking about how we can make the permanent move sooner. We just built a house here in Indy but it will go up for sale next year.

I went out the other day to take some updated pics. I'll be up in Virginia in 10 days to visit my son and grandkids. Sure hope the weather has turned nice up there by the time I arrive.

Crewzin, NEAT pictures  ! Did you like London, and did you have any trouble finding "hi-test" gas for the Vette? Payin' for it was probably a whole 'nuther issue though :rofl1: .

Andy,

I was with the U.S. Government stationed on a U.S. Base north of London. Gas was rationed, because we could buy it without paying British taxes. High test was available and all of the gas was leaded. That's probably why the insides of my CAT fell apart when we returned (still riding around with the gutted CAT to this day). We bought a small used European car for daily driving and were given the rationed gas coupons by the liter size of the combined two cars. A 5.7liter Vette was monster size compared to most of the 1 or 2 liter cars that mostly everybody else was driving so we had tons of coupons allowing us to take loads of trips all over the U.K. London, Scottland , the Lake District and the eastern beaches were our main destinations. London is hell to get around by car though, so mostly we took public transportation there.

I know how you feel, winter just won't die here in Maryland either. My golf club started play last weekend and it actually started to flurry in the middle of the 8th fairway. I am not sure that I have ever played golf in colder weather. Grass is growing like hell, but it is too cold to sit on a tractor for 4 hours cutting a couple acres of grass. Wife slipped on the ice in February and broke a leg (now I know why they shoot horses!). Frankly, I have had enough! Working on the house and hope to have it up for sale in a few weeks. I need to get out of DODGE! Hope to be in Ft. Myers permanently by the middle of summer.

Yeah man! Trust me you will NOT miss snow and ice when you move down here. I often here born and raised Floridians sighing "Oh I do so love the snow..." And I look at them like they have lost their friggin minds. "Have you ever driven in that crap? Shoveled it? Had your earlobes so cold they felt like they were bleeding? Had your nose hairs freeze to the inside of your nostrils?" Hah! You can HAVE that crap. If I want to see snow, I'll check out the Weather Channel and watch it from a distance. S-N-O-W is a four letter word in my vocabulary.
