Next step is to get her tuned

OMG I need cameras!. That would open my world up to so many cars I cant drive because the new trend. I have a back up camera on the truck. but that's a truck:lmao:

Ok Ive gotta see some pics of how those cameras work...that is effin sweeeeeet.

I agree,, the Z06 B-pillars behind the seats are killer huge blind spots! The cameras are something I was thinking about doing too! Got any specs and additional pics?

Yeah, those side cams look like a real neat idea. But how long does it take you to break that lifelong habit of looking for the side mirrors when you want to see in back of you?

Honestly, i'd like to get rid of the rear view mirror on the windshield, and wouldn't mind some sort of videocam replacement for that critter.

I wouldn't delete the mirrors like James2292 did, I would use the cameras to eliminate the blind spot during lane changes. My problem is mostly at night with darker tint and that huge B-pillar on the C5 Z06. I personally would have the same problems as you looking for the mirrors in the old spots. LOL. I actually like the "radar" that a new car has in it now...... Acura or Lexus I think.. It has a little light that lights up in the side of the mirror if there is a car in the blind spot.

Thanks for the responses guys

I have found that the cameras make it easier for me to view what’s going on beside me better than what I was seeing from the stock mirrors

I mounted two monitors to view right/left views. (I had originally thought of having it interface with the stock radio.. but I did not like the idea of having to glance down (take my eyes off the road) to see what was going on)

I found that the best spot for me was to mount them beside the rear view mirror so I could glance up and see a 3 sided view ( left, right, rear)

It did take me a while to get use to not having the rear view mirrors . But after 4 years of being mirror-less it just seems natural now.

One of the main advantages for me was the ability to see clearly on the sides of me at night.

Also the fact that I shaved the door handles and the side markers..just seemed natural to shave the mirrors too.:dancer01:

James, I love those wheels. Who is the manufacturer?
I have been looking at the Cray Black Scorpion.
The ones on your car look nicer.

Objects in your Montiors(mirrors) are Losing:thumbsup::hehehe:

Excellent mods.

For those that do not have onstar, I beleive there is a rear view mirror that has the capability to be a monitor too. I may do some research on this and try it out.

Thanks for the great idea.

Cheers
