Default WTB 02+ Z06. Will pay cash!

Hi,

I am glad to have found this wonderful vette community. As a prospective owner I am looking to find myself a car.

I would like to buy a clean 02+ car for around $18k. No salvage/rebuilt titles please.

Thank you

Have an 04 w/1200 HP twin turboFS, but price is quite a bit over your target. Keep your eyes open...there are deals out there.

True.

You should be able to locate a clean, higher milage car as you desire for around that figure give or take a few k...probably give...

But in that ball park.

Just check whatever you find carefully. If you're not familiar with them, then have someone you trust to it for you

I was looking at a C3 yesterday at a well known rebuilders shop here in the area.

Looked great from the outside and the inside was clean, etc.

Noticed the drivers door a little jumpy to close???

Looked in the door jambs and found crasking on both sides!

Good luck on your search and to the site

Cracking/crazing!

The metal behaind the jam is most likely rusted/fatigued/cracked. Would lead me to believe it has more hidden rust issues.

Thanks Tracy
Guess there's a new one for Wiki?

It's fat fingers+little keyboard/in a damned hurry=typos

But tracy is right. It was cracking where the rear door jamb meets the upright or "birdcage".

The car probably has a rebuilt title and it's starting to show some damage about now

Too bad. It was "purty", nice shiney red.....and overpriced
