The Florida Highway Patrol said that around 2:00 a.m. 26-year-old Michael Price of Bonita Springs was speeding northbound near Pine Ridge Road on I-75 when he lost control of his vehicle.
According to troopers, the 2006 Corvette that Price was driving was completely destroyed when the car veered off the road and slammed into a tree shredding the car.
Price was ejected from the vehicle upon impact and pronounced dead on scene.
26-year-old Nicole Weber of Naples was riding in the car at the time of the accident and also died as a result from the crash.
No word on when funeral arrangements will be made or what caused the deadly accident has been released.
Condolences go out to the surviving famillies of these this couple...
Ouch..... Probably was hot-dogging it and just let it get away from him. To many instances like this start happening and the gov will be putting pressure on the car manufacturers to quit the horsepower war.
Posted this unfortunate incident this morning on both forums and so far victims do not seem to be associated with any of the local clubs...Condolences to the surviving families...
