We manufacture a rubber dressing called Aqua Gloss. It rejuvenates dry rubber, plastic trim and vinyl. It is a water-based dressing and contains no solvents. You can adjust the gloss from high to low, its water repellant, has excellent UV protection and will not sling off your tires onto the side of your Corvette. It is also biodegradable, enviromentally friendly, and wont attract dirt and sand to your tires and trim. I use it on both of my C4's and keep my weatherstripping like new. Door handles, targa top, around and top of the doors, winshield etc. Replacing weatherstripping is not cheap on a Corvette.
Most rubber dressings in the auto parts stores are made with heptane and silicone and will sling everywhere. Those solvent/silicone dressings will also stain the sides of a white vehicle and will eat into plastic ground effects when mixed with brake dust. Nasty stuff.
