DeFunking the LT1
My 96 LT1 had started to accumelate a lot of oil residue. It wasn't dripping or loosing any oil, but it sure was caking up in a few places. So after my recent autocross on Sunday I slowly drove (running my DOT slicks monday morning) to AutoXTC to have John get to work on the ole girl. Was starting with the front three main seals and told him to take a look at the intake and oil pan gaskets. Well, they all need to be replaced, but she'll be locked up and ready for just about whatever I throw at her. Too bad this eats up my HPDE budget, but I wasn't about to hit a highspeed track without knowing all my seals where in order. Anyone want to sponsor a daily driven, once a month autocross, and potential HPDE corvette?
I know she's in good hands.

I'll put it on our calendar...we're trying to book another photoshoot for that day, but if nothing sticks, then I'll try to take a ride over.

Well, there's a problem there. It's at an airport so it's a closed event. I'd have to preregister you (a whole $5). Just let me know. It'll probably be nearly full by the end of the week. July 17th is in St Pete and is open so you could get there when you want. We usually start our runs a little after 10am.

Thats right, you said that about the Brooksville. Doesn't matter anyway because I got a call booking a show here in Orlando...BUT July sounds good.

The Law Enforcement training pad at Saint Petersburg College Allstate Campus. The street address of the pad is 3500 32nd St. S, just off of US19/34th St in St. Petersburg.
