Free CAGs turn off weekend by tampa tuning

Tampa Tuning

Tampa Tuner
Several of you have reached out for me about turning off your CAGs. Ill be around all weekend and Tampa Tuning will offer free CAGs turn off this labor day weekend. Saturday and Sunday only.

Its a 10 minutes fix instead of purchasing the by passes systems and having to crawl under your car to install them.

Have your CAGS deleted by your friendly neighborhood tuner in tampa.

Phil

Your welcome to make it a cruise-in to the shop and combine it with a get together and see some cool stuff going on. Sat/Sun.:dancer01:

I wish we would have teamed up and though about that plan earlier.

We should do that one weekend so everyone can see the new shop

LSx performance tuning in Tampa

Clockwork convinced me to delete O2 sensors also this weekend.

Tell your friends from other forums what im offering to do this weekend and it will be a fun weekend. But make sure they sign on to this forum !

now he things im the best tuner in Tampa

because Clockwork came over yesterday just to have his sensor 2 bank turned off after adding an intake and exhaust. Just for sport i wanted to see what the wideband was telling me before i sent him home.

It was lean by about a point. I fixed that, deleted some torque management, made some small changes to his transmission, and sent him on his happy way.

Now that's coustomer service. No charge for he street tune.

car is running great. its amazing what changing some numbers on a computer can do for you. phil was a really cool guy. he explained to me in laymans terms what he was changing and the results. he spent plenty (too much if thats possible) time with me. i had company waiting for me. so if you have plans, do not think your going to do a drive by tune with phil. he was precise and thorough, in no way rushed or distracted. i would definitely recommend tampa tuning. thanks again phil

Im not a tuner - so my question is what good does deleting the 02 banks do?

I'm not a tuner neither, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once... :)

I believe it eliminates the errors flagged because of changes that mods make to the gases reaching those sensors. Even something like headers making a change in the rate the sensors will heat up could trip an error code.

Rich is correct and I did not sleep with him in the Holiday Inn. Shutting off the number two sensors offer no performance gains, but when an aftermarket exhaust is added ( headers ), sometimes it throws a sensor 2 code. I did not get a code in my Corvette after adding all the bolt ons, but some guys have.

Now, shutting off the CAGs will remove the PITA 1-4 shifting in the manual transmission corvettes

Guys, please don't COPY the post in your replies. That just keeps the links on this site, which is exactly what the spammers want to be done so they get picked up by the search engines.

I have deleted them from your replies in this thread after banning the spammer.

Sorry Rich, I got stupid. I deleted my post. Hope you banned his IP or he'll be back.

Banning the IP rarely helps as the spammers are very fluent with the technique of using dynamically allocated IP addresses. It only works when they have STATIC IP addresses from their ISP.

As I mentioned to you in a PM, if the spamming gets to be big enough of an issue here, I will have to start reviewing and manually approving all new registrations. I now do this on my other larger sites, and it has stopped the spamming dead in those sites. Nearly all the spam originates from a handful of overseas locations, and they nearly always try to fake their stated location as being within the USA. China, Pakistan, and Nigeria are the most common destinations, but I am beginning to get some suspected ones from Malaysia lately. Some are rather sneaky in that they will register and not do anything for weeks, then either start posting their spam, or else try to do so under the radar via private messaging directly to members.

Spammers are the main reason why there are some controls done on sites that don't otherwise make sense. Things like limiting replies to one every 30 seconds, or the same restriction with private messages. Automated spammers can absolutely FLOOD a site pretty quickly without them. One of the MANY pleasures of running a message board site...
