• Got the Contributing Memberships stuff finally worked out and made up a thread as a sort of "How-To" to help people figure out how to participate. So if you need help figuring it out, here's the thread you need to take a look at -> http://www.corvetteflorida.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3581 Thank you, everyone! Rich Z.

2010 - NPD 5th Annual Octoberfest - Silver Springs, FL

I hear there is a Holiday Inn Express across from the show giving a special rate. See post #18 of this thread.

There are several of us staying at the Hampton Inn on SR200 in Ocala just east of I75. Also, the Southwest Florida Corvette Club is staying there.

We will be leaving Wesley Chapel Saturday around 6am or so. Stopping at IHOP in Silver Springs off of Pine before the show and will be at the gate around 830am. Its a bit awkward parking if you have a vette and do not belong to any of the clubs that are there. Wish I could go up on Friday but both of us work.

Parking would be a problem I would think if you not in the car show or with a club, where all the vettes park together...I wouldn't park my Z in general parking, no way...:ack2:

Sigh..... Not going to make it this time, guys. Looks like Aaron is going to be putting my C5Z on the dyno on Friday so I definitely want to be around when that takes place. :shrug01:

We are in the show and parked with the corvette's in prior years but the clubs all want to park together and usually try and have those that are not in their club moved.

That is one of the things that baffles me about these shows. You would think everyone would want to mingle and meet other people in other clubs. Heck, they likely see everyone in their own club at their local affairs anyway... :shrug01: Instead that makes those clubs look standoffish and cliquish...

Thats why I don't do clubs but going anyway cause I like to drive. Leaving in the morning about 7AM. All that are going see you there :wavey:

I never saw this happen when I was there. I pulled in and saw a spot I liked and parked, was neve asked to move and always had nice folks around us.

This was a great event and well organized. We had a great time, met some new friends, and enjoyed both the show and the park. We are definatly going back next year.

Had a great time. Show turned out awesome. This was my 4th time attending. Looking forward to 5.

:iagree: we will be going back next year. Maybe even the all corvette show later this year. I did not see you there we were up on the hill between the trucks and the food area.
