427 engine (part 2) - RHS block

Heck, I was thinking you guys were getting tired of hearing about this saga. I've really just been posting updates here so I have a record of every step along the way to whatever becomes the final result.

Connie has asked me if I wanted to get a vanity tag for the car, but honestly, most of my top choices would be unprintable. But it might be interesting to try to come up with just one word that would sum this all up.... And still be printable on a license tag, of course.

Sounds like a new, fun, Rich thread to me!

My wife is hooked on soap operas and I didn't understand why she could not miss an episode. Then I started to follow this and got hooked. When he finally gets the car home What will I do for entertainment. So Rich When it happens and it will could you post a picture of yourself driving it home. We all would like to see if you really will have a grin from ear to ear as you come off idle with the tires smoking.

In the meantime I think I will start to dream about putting a Z06 in my 93 C4.

Well, I intend to mount the camcorder in the car for the drive home, if and when that takes place. But my REAL reason for that is to document the catastrophic explosion that I expect to take place as a culmination of this saga.

Seriously, with all of these problems, it's going to take a VERY long time before I trust that car to take on a trip and get me back home without any problems showing up. I will always have to take my laptop with me with the tune in there just in case I get a PCM failure while I'm driving through Wyoming or somewhere....

Oh well, it's Friday. I usually get bad news from Aaron on Fridays, it seems.

Aaron called while I was outside and talked to Connie. He told her that he had an emergency to deal with in Tallahassee. Something about a race car, but I don't know all the details. The car he and Jim were working on this morning was only half finished at the time, so he said they would be starting on my car first thing Saturday morning.

It is now 21 months since I drove this car into Chris Harwood's shop on 10/27/2009 to be disassembled for "the build". :ack2:

THAT (IIDY) would make a GREAT plate for the C5Z.
Iz It Dun Yet could be the title of the book that Rich has been authoring on this forum.
Don't know about anyone else, but I'm hooked by this thread, and hope to see
it successfully ended. The C5Z should be a BEAST when it's all back together.
Rich, you should have it striped and incorporate "iZ it dun yet" into the striping! :yesnod:

Dang I forgot to copyright that before I posted. I think the beast is also an appropriate title. I think I call it that in another thread somewhere, but not for the same reason. I called it the beast because it has so many demons :reddevil:

Nope it is :munching_out: time for me.

"Beast" would get my vote for the duality of the nature of that ride once it is done. Kind of before and after connotation.

Maybe I could just shorten to "BST". Of course, in my mind it would stand for Blood, Sweat, and Tears.....

 That is awesome I don't remember ever seeing an M923 (or M927 long bed) with NOT ONLY DUAL M2 .50 cals BUT ALSO A TURRET MOUNTED 7.62mm M60

four words....

F'n Awesome and Kick azz.

what is it towing with the tow bar?

Looking at the picture again, it looks like it's towing another 5 (or perhaps 10) ton
because you can see what looks to be the front bumper on the very right of the
picture. It also looks higher than a deuce and a half bumper, and the 5 and 10
ton trucks were all that I can remember that had tow points that high. It's been
41 years since I left Vietnam, and the memory is just a memory these days.....

any update for Friday? hopefully they got to your car today.

I think you missed an earlier statement I made.....

Well, that didn't happen. Just talked to Aaron and they still haven't gotten to my car yet. Something about them having the wrong HPtuners license for that other car they started work on Friday. :shrug01:
