Found a couple of pics related to the new C7 engine. One is of the engine with the intake manifold off, and the other is a pic of one of the fuel injectors.

Alternator and fill fluid on opposite side from previous, or the Mobil1 off the filler cap which I believe deleted from 13. Dry sump?

  1. Why so much dead space on the driver's side of the engine and all the accessory pulleys only on the passenger side? What are they leaving room for?
  2. Where is the power steering pump?
  3. There appears to be room on the front of the crankcase balancer pulley to put another belt.
  4. The pulleys on what I assume are the water pump and AC compressor are ribbed, yet the belt surface being applied to them is flat.
  5. With the serpentine belt tensioner placed where it is, you can probably forget about changing a belt on the road.
  6. Strange angle on the throttle body opening, isn't it? I'd be interested to see how the airbridge gets around or over the radiator.

Heck, maybe I've just been looking at my own engine for too long and everything else just looks strange to me now..... :shrug01:

Oh yeah, another thing. You have to pull the intake manifold off in order to get to the fuel rails and fuel injectors? :crazy03:

  1. The side with nothing on it is the side that will be up against the firewall
in the FIRST EVER front wheel drive Vette! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Merry Christmas with THAT thought guys!

I am unfamilir with anything except the LS6 and LQ9, but those cylinder heads look different or maybe it looks that way because of no manifold. I also read somewhere that the LS7 may be discontinued.
