Went to a car lot show yesterday in Winter Haven and I don't know the exectly temp but it was very hot boarding on damn hot with about 95% humidity that is until later when a cell came through and dumped oh about 3" of rain it maybe 15 minutes. Ain't FL grand?

Yeah, then after the shower, I'll bet the humidity was then more like 150%.

I think we got caught in that, or something like that, when we were in Kissimmee Saturday for my son's baseball tournaments.

Games cancelled ... :thumbsdown:

Everyone should hold events at our place. Storms will literally go all around us, even jumping OVER us to reform on the other side, and we won't get a drop of rain. It's the damnedest thing.........

That's because Mother Nature is scared sh1tless by the nekkid guy :eek: running
around in someone's driveway :lmao::lmao::lmao:
Andy :wavey:

The weather service could just very well just state that every day there will be a 50 percent chance of rain (effectively saying "just flip a coin, that's what we do"), and be done with it

I always told my wife that my fallback job would be a meteorologist and I'd always give a 50% chance of rain....

You got that right. Been 9 days since i had a drop of rain. Time after time they miss us by .25 of a mile or will head our way and split like the seven seas and miss us.

Finally got some rain today! Up till today, been watching heavy storms (and hearing related thunder just to run salt into the wounds) brushing past us on every point of the compass.

We got a downpour yesterday (Friday), and looks like some more storms moving up from the south today. At least the plants are getting watered, but I won't be able to take the car out so I can wrap up this tuning stuff I've been working on.

I think we got at least 4.5 inches of rain just last night.

Can't WAIT for the mosquito population explosion....... :ack2:

We're actually having (for the first time in years) what used to be the standard cycle of afternoon rains. Now shut my mouth for whatever comes next.:shrug01:

Heck, if you look at the radar maps, it appears that the waters of the entire Gulf of Mexico is being sucked up into the atmosphere and then pushed northwards over the panhandle of Florida. It's like a straight line tropical storm instead of having the typical rotation pattern.

I was over near Crestview yesterday on I-10 and the water on the side of the interstate was really high and moving fast. Lot of rain between Tallahassee and Pensacola.
