Crappy weather....

A little warmer down here Rich. At least had the chance to get "Peek" out and give her a bath. She needed it. Our club went on a mystery cruise last Saturday and spent all but maybe the last 20 min is some sort of rain. As you well know Electron Blue is not very pretty in basic "dirt".:shrug01:

Yeah man, I hear that. The blue has to be clean and shiny to be good for the eyeballs.

My car has been on the lift so much that during dead time I would polish up underneath the car. And I have all that insulation wrap on the exhaust that I'm not real crazy about getting wet, much less mud caked. I woke up this morning thinking I might be able to take the car out today. They scraped the dirt road yesterday so it wouldn't have shaken my teeth loose. But I took one look at the weather radar and, well, so much for that idea. :banghead:

I might need to take a refresher course on how to drive a stick shift. Speaking of which, maybe my not driving for a while is for the best anyway. I've been suffering through a bout of plantar fasciatis in my left foot for a few months now and perhaps pushing in on the clutch pedal is not too good for it.

Might as well put some sort of silver lining into that cloud.....

Well, we had more rain overnight. Again. So the road is a mess. Again.

So much for running down to the Crawfordville Hardees this evening. :shrug01:

More rain forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday, too.

Maybe I need to consider another mod for the C5Z.... :hehehe:

Did stay dry enough the other day to get the Z washed. Then it was back in the garage.

We are not getting the rain you are Rich but it's staying deal damp with light rain or a misting but whatever will be will be.:shrug01:

Yeah, I MIGHT be able to get the car out on Monday if there is no more rain. Connie says the road was wet looking this morning, so I don't know.... The roads department, in their infinite wisdom, put a layer of what they called "river mud" over the section of road right through our property to "stabilize" the surface. Which seems fine when it is bone dry. But when it gets wet it becomes, well RIVER MUD. And it seems to take FOREVER to dry out, whereas just regular sand would have had the water percolate through it a LOT quicker.

Anyway, if not Monday, probably not for a while since more rain is forecast (if you can call it that) for the rest of the week.

Got to take out the C6Z on Monday, and the C5Z today.

Drove the C6Z to Mexico Beach and had dinner on St. George Island.

Just took the C5Z up to Tallahassee and then the long way around to come back home.

Didn't see even one other Corvette on the road either trip. :nonod:

CHIT CHIT CHIT ,headed for Daytona trying to outrun the weather ,ice and snow .Got as far as Scranton PA and the office called and said STOP ! and wait :banghead:Spent 4 hours at an Iron Skillet truck stop buffet waiting. Then the word came "return ".The car looks like crap with half an inch of salt dust and I drove 14 hours for a friggin lunch

Yeah, looks like South Carolina, and Georgia from Atlanta up, is going to get dumped on.

The bulk of the rain on the south side of the storm might just pass over us here in north Florida. We got some rain earlier, but it seems to have moved further north recently.

Yep that sounds pretty chitty.

ANOTHER 3 to 6 inches of snow tonight!
JEEZ..........I'm gettin REALLY tired of the color white!
Next trip to Florida is scheduled for mid March, and
IT CAN"T GET HERE QUICK ENUF!

If you look close, you'll see that one of the hands is MINE!
Andy :wavey:

We had LOTS of rain here all day long. Glad I took the C5Z out yesterday, because it might be several days before I'll have a chance again.

Didn't want to go out in that crap, but had a root canal scheduled and figured I had to go. But on the the other hand, at least I didn't waste a perfectly good day getting my face drilled on.

I right behind ya Andy .Snow in the forecast the next four days .AND to be bluntly honest "I'd rather take it up the azz by a polar bear than plow snow":banghead:It's like raking leaves during a hurricane or mowing a lawn during a 10 year drought .

As much as I'd like to be in Key West I may have to settle for Orlando or Kissimmee .I've been on Realtor.com since December .If I get a condo maybe I could turn it into a half way house for hookers.:shrug01:

I can't let him know as he'd come live with me ,we'd both end up in jail :D
At least you would be warm, and I could round up a bunch of guys with Vettes
to come and visit you both when permitted. Unless I miss my guess, Junk has already
seen the inside of a jail or 2, and isn't intimidated by them.:rofl1: Hell, after being
in there for 2 weeks, you 2 would probably own the place, or at least have control over it.:D:D:D
Andy :wavey:

Another friggin 12 inches forecast for tonight. At this rate I won't be able to
find the damn storage place when March comes to get the Vette out to drive
to Florida. Have I said that I'm fed up with this white stuff ?????
HEY SNOW....:2232censored:

Sounds to me that you are about ready to move on South, eh Andy? What's the countdown?

Temps here were in the mid 60s and just great for working outdoors. Connie and I were trimming some branches on the fruit trees and some of them are starting to put out flowers and blooms already.
