St. Augustine, FL - some random impressions.

Now remember Gordon and Ken, the gas goes in the tank and the beer goes in the belly. :lmao::lmao:

No problem Mark:ack2: I'll (try to) keep Ray and Gordon and Dave in check but you know how they can be.:nanana: I, for one, am an extremely well behaved dude:D but you can bet your bum that I'll check out the flight of beers.:icon_cheers:

This is a joke, right? I can't believe the law will allow these three guys to all be in the same place together..... :lmao:

Actually I thought the headgear appropriate for St. Augustine....... :D

Getting ready to hit the road. Checked the radar map and it looks like we are going to have some of that "20%" chance of rain along the way...

See ya! :wavey:

:cool:Bags are packed, we're ready to go and in a C3 that means we have 2 tooth brushes, a spare T shirt and a camera, 'cause that's all that'll fit. :shrug01::party:

Will be leaving in about an hour.

Gawd I sure hope Ray and Dave and Gordon behave themselves. you know how they can be.:drink4::drink4::party::party:

Hello from St. Augustine!

First chance I've had to log in on the laptop.

We had a GREAT time with everyone here. Unfortunately half the group left earlier today (Wednesday), but everyone seemed to play well together. We all didn't feel pressured to spend every moment with everyone else, and some people would go one way and others another route. Everyone had a lot of laughs and damn did we EAT GOOD here.

Connie and I as well as Ken and Carrie are leaving tomorrow which will leave Ray and Angel here all alone. :( Wish we could have made this a longer get together.......

Weather has been just GREAT, although the group coming up from the south did catch some rain on Monday. Connie and I dodged the storms on our route coming down from the north.

The rooms at the Inn are all pretty nice and the people here extremely accommodating and friendly.

On top of that, they had a drawing for a free night here sometime within the next year and guess who won it? :wavey:

I think this is something we need to do as often as possible, in other parts of the state (and maybe in surrounding states as well). We're talking about possibly Amelia Island and Savanna, GA in the near future. If anyone else has some potential excursion destinations, let's try to work them out. Wouldn't it be neat to sometime in the future have a CorvetteFlorida excursion nearly take over a whole town?

Oh well, hate to be leaving here, but the work back at home won't wait forever before things start dying.

I hope everyone makes plans to do this next year....

I second that suggestion!

The time spent there although far too short was the greatest!

The rain....no leaks (well 1 minor one but it was small and didn't leak ON ME!)

The scenery was beautiful, the people, (from here, there and everywhere) were great and the food and drinks!!!!

Even the UPS/FedEx drivers were nice, letting us cross as a group in heavy traffic, giving us directions to certain areas (instead of just telling us "where to go":lmao:)

Can't wait to do something else somewhere else:thumbsup:

Wow what a gathering

Monday Ray and Angel (Ynkedad, Txmomma), Gordon (Shadow) and Lamora, Dave (Zzona and Susan, Bob (4-speed) and Dot and Carrie and I meet in Ocala and drove over to St Augustine. :vette::vette::vette::vette::vette: Rich (RichZ) and Connie were there waiting for us.:vette:

Just had an awesome time.

I am still amazed by the friendships that build from our love of Corvettes. You guys and gals are really the greatest.:yesnod:

Did some serious partying and I was (marginally) successful keeping everyone ('sept) Gordon well behaved.:lmao::lmao:

We're going to do this again and would love to have others join us. No pressure, no worries just great times.

Rob!, Mary! NEXT YEAR ya hear me? We will not accept No for an answer.

Ken

St. Augustine

Had a great time in St. Augustine, made some new cool friends and had lots of laughs! I have been driving Corvettes since 1967 and the car keeps getting better and so do the people that drive them. Thanks to all for a wonderful time.
