Car Insurance...

ynkedad

Wassup!!!
:ahh: Why is it that guys are penalized (when it comes to car insurance) until they're 25 :willy_nilly:?
Our agent (a female) said that's just the way it is.. like that was supposed to make me feel better.
So, I started :rant:ing after that explanation to the point of Angel having to kick me under the desk.:hehehe:
I told our agent I didn't "get it"... Guys are penalized from the day they get their license, BEFORE they do ANYTHING wrong, where as gals are given the benefit of the doubt by not being penalized till they do something wrong:thinkin:
:hmm: WTF ever happened to equal rights?!!! Talk about age Discrimination!!! How TF is that fair???? A guy has to pay more for their Insurance for roughly NINE years, just because they're a guy?! Can you say PROFILING!

Our agent said.. well it's legal, because "statistics" have proven that guys are more of a risk when behind the wheel of a car:rolleyes:.

I asked our agent how old those statistics were and how often are they updated? She had no idea:toetap05:.

And if you take it a little further, your rates come down when you get married. Like getting married is going to convert your into a flawless driver. On the whole the insurance industry needs to be overhauled completely and closely monitored but they seem to be lining everyone's pockets except ours.

If anything being married makes you a worse driver,
Kids in the back kicking your seat,
you trying to smack their feet,
the little women's mouth a yappin:lmao:

During my 25 years as a LEO, I found the worst drivers by far to be females 20-30 yoa. They are not attentive, distracted easily and always in a HURRY. Unfortunately, most of your soccer mommies in their SUV's full of screaming kids fall into this category.

Im a good driver, Im very attentive for my age, Got my driver liscence when I was 25 (had a few seizures when I was 16-17 and couldent get them)

I wont drive further than 4 miles a day, and Im scared of everyone around me:lmao: call it a phobia, Funny that Ive allways liked/owned muscle cars and worked on them, but I wouldent drive intill almost 2 years ago

OH, they are in our pockets alright. Taking money out.

And the new scam is to use credit checks to determine rates. They say poor credit shows a lack of control,,, regardless of what your record is like. You could have no accidents and get jammed on your credit from a divorce or whatever and blammo you have much higher rates.

One other scam I have heard of is installing GPS in cars and determining how safe you are based on your driving times, locations, and actual speeds. Get caught driving even once in awhile in an accident prone area, or speeding once, and blammo your rates go up!

We really get slammed for living in Florida too. I checked rates on the same vehicles I own in North Carolina and the rates dropped by half!

Thats the snowbird/old ppl tax we have to pay. Im an example, 5mths ago i almost died from some old guy sending me off the road and into a tree at 50mph, sued his insurance for full amount....think their happy for having to pay me a shit load of money? lol

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

On top of that...I have two kids with their licenses and just because they live in our house we have to list them as "occasional drivers" in our cars, And you can't list them in the same car.

In other words, one of our kids gets listed as an occasional driver in the Mini van and the other in the Suv. This way they get'cha twice:sillyme: .
BTW, If we only had one car they'd list the kid that's the highest risk, which would be our 17 yr old son.:toetap05: Even if they Don't drive them. WTF!

Man...Whatta bunch of criminals...Ins Companies SUCK AZZ!!!

Hey Ray, If you've had any family in the military, you would qualify for USAA insurance. I saved about a thousand bucks a year when I added my 16 year old daughter to the policy. Just a thought.
