Rich, how do I go about uploading this picture to the members pictures album?

Yeah. When I was younger I took karate up to the point where my instructor wanted me to start beating my hands against a plank wrapped in coarse burlap. I figured it would play hell with my playing keyboards in my band, so I quit.... :rolleyes: Much easier to just carry a gun.

:rofl1::rofl1: A makiwara....I remember those......

I've broken enough solid crap over the years to build a freakin' garage! And frankly, looking back on it, I can't see a reason for it?

I know all the "reasons" given, but I've never met a board or brick that I didn't like:lmao:

Raschelle, you've got a point. My elbows, but mostly my knees, hate me for the time I spent destroying them in training and tournements.

I now combine Kenpo with some of the "softer" arts (Aikido/Hapkido and such) to teach self defense (and use as required). Works really well and not "as much" chance of screwing yourself up long or short term:thumbsup:

Yeah, every now and then somebody get's hurt, but it's pretty well controlled now to the point it hardly ever occurs.

I'm more into the Art of Tire Iron and 357 Magnum!!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::D

I used to do a few hundred knuckle push-ups a day on concrete to build up the calluses on them for breaks, the skin is permanatley fused to the knuckles now. The most slabs I ever got up to was 5 (could never get 6 to break). I could do some awesome jump spin kicks & hook kick roundhouse combo like Bill Wallace.....but then I got married and my attention was directed elsewhere:D With two artificial knees now I can't hardley get up the stairs much less kick butt!:thumbsup:
