Daytona Speedway Spring Spectacular Show

Mr. Blue

New member
:welcome: I spent the weekend (and almost $200 in gas!) driving back and forth to the Daytona International Speedway for their show this weekend. Had a great time and the weather was just perfect...mid 80's sunny and a light breeze!
Here are a few photos I took. One is from my Vette looking up @ turn #3 as I entered the infield. Others are from the beautiful parking area (usually reserved from the drivers/owner's motor homes) looking towards the tri oval from the infiled. My Vette ran 80-90 all the way up I-95 (man did that sound sweet!) with the water temp steady @ 170 degrees. That's a welcomed change! Thanks once again, Tom DeWitts Radiators. Even in stop and go traffic on A-1A up on the beachside it stayed cool and civil.
:dancer01: Enjoy the photos, and I look forward to seeing some of you at the CKCC show April 19th and the Ponce Inlet Show May 17th. :wavey: Glenn

WE're you allowed on the track?

Yes, certain parts, NOT the high bank or main track, but some of the aprons and parts of the road course, but of course, you could only do a few miles per hour or get thrown out. It was not a driving race track thing, unfortunately.
However, I did get to run the race track back in the 80's when NCCC held their national convention there. Now that was fun!:dancer01: Glenn
