Shift lever very hard to move???

I put a 700r4 in my vette, behind a 350. When installing a B&M shifter, I discovered that the shift lever on the tranny is very hard to move. The new shifter will not move the lever from park and such... Its hard to move by hand also. I know there is nothing wrong with the shifter. So, is there something wrong with the tranny? I've connected the tv cable, made sure the tranny is full of fluid. Still hard to move lever. Help? kip
 
Do you have it full of trans fluid? I say that because..... before I met Greg I put a new 700r4 in my 93 and didnt put enough fluid in it (being carefull) and the shifter wouldent move intill I figured it out:lmao:

I will ask the big guy when his hands are free for his input (saterdays are nutty here)

allright, he said to check the B&M shiter cable itself, that they need adjustment, they sometimes bind and make it impos. to shit

Do I just drop that ex-lax down the filler tube???????

Pulled the pan off today, found everything OK. Was surprised to see the depth of the notches on the thing that the roller rides over. It's no wonder it takes so much force to get the roller over the notches. I have the tv cable connected, to what looks to be OK, do need to put more fluid in it.

Still having trouble getting the middle carb of a tri carb set up the idle good. Seems to idle too low, too rough... I've checked for vacuum leaks and all that. Its a 2GV, however, and it has no choke system on the carb. It used one from the manifold I've read... So, with out the vacuum system, there is no tension against the idle cam, and the choke butterfly doesn't act right. Any chance of getting a choke system that could go on such a carb? thanks - kip
