New bi-mode exhaust installed

THOR

New member
After waiting several weeks to get a decent non-dinged up set of the new NPP bimode exhaust, I was able to finally have them installed last Friday at Auto XTC. John did his usual magic and did an awesome job detaching the stock mufflers and reattaching the new NPP exhaust to the Melrose long tube headers. Then he hooked up Pipedreams NPP in a Box controller which opens and shuts the butterfly valve with a remote control switch. When John turned the ignition on, I don't know who was smiling more- me or him. The exhaust notes were throaty, beefy, 60's muscle car sound with a nice burble with the open position and absolutely stock quiet in the closed position. I had an absolute blast driving home over the Skyway bridge and listening to the exhaust. There was a noticeable increase in the power band and seat of the pants feel. It does drone above 1500 rpm but once you turn it off at cruising speed, the drone disappears. This is one of my favorite mods to date. :yesnod::yesnod:
The seats were also converted to two tone seats and really made a nice cosmetic change to the interior.

I don't have a video camera and my digital camera audio is primitive at best. When you hear it live, then you'll be smilin'!!
A similar setup can be seen and heard at www.nakidparts.com

Im glad its done and your happy, I still think that it is crappy you had tyo play shipping tag trying to get something undinged

Hey Carlos , I can't hear you over my exhaust. :lmao::lmao:
I'll show pics of the two tone seats as soon as they are finished.

I wonder if a cutout switch would make my C5Z louder or quieter? :hehehe:

Well Joe, Saturday night you'll be hearing me coming down Cortez to the show but then you might not because I'm usually there on time!!! :lmao::lmao:

NPP'S

where did you find the NPP's??
I've been looking for a while
any help would be appreciated!!
Phil:thumbsup:

I got mine through Auto XTC in Pinellas Park who got them from the Chevy dealer. They do not package them very well anf the tips get dinged up. I had t osend them back a couple of times until a non-dinged order came in. Call Auto XTC and ask for John Wilson who's the corvette tech there. Phone is 727-573-1292. Good luck and hopes this helps.
PS: make sure you put a Mild 2 Wild switch in too to control the exhaust.
