Star Trek

I loved it, saw it 3x already, I picked up all sorts of little details like

Capt Nero's ship was a mining ship, no explanation where they got advanced weapons though

The Key part for me was when the crew was talking on the deck and Capt Spock was talking about the Naradas effect on the time continuum and then Uhura said "like an alternate reality?"

So thats how this new trek is a different offshoot from the 60's series, same characters, different reality, brilliant :yesnod:
 
Ok so I took my 80 year old Dad to see the movie last night. Of course he thought it was too loud. I thought it was great. Lots of references to the original series. Did not understand the Spock/Uhura romance!

Did you catch it when Kirk asked Mr. Sulu what kind of combat training he had? Sulu said "fencing".
 
I got to see it last night. Loved it... Great the way they brought it all together. Looking forward to the sequels.
 
I had to see it again for the second time and it was just as good as the first time. If they do sequels with this cast, it should be awesome. The mannerisms were so cleverly portrayed by each character. Scotty just absolutely cracks me up.
