Fall/Winter 2024

Drive careful if you go. Hate to hear of you going sideways on the icy roads.

I think I hate the salt slush more than either snow or ice, for the damage it is doing to my vehicle. I will NOT drive in the salt belt during the Winter months.

We get the truck washed every week anyway and we're allowed to have it washed twice a week if need be, so really no harm done. But we get a new truck every three years anyway.

We have about 4 inches of snow so far. Tried to post a picture but it keeps saying file is too large.

Gotten down into the low 20s the last 2 nights. Supposed to be a relatively warm 30 degrees tonight. Looks like a warming trend is coming...... Finally....

Feels like the way Florida SHOULD feel with temperatures. Very nice weather lately.

This week was the worst we have seen for Kentucky and Tennessee in the past three years that we've run this route. They have been very liberal with the salt/chemical applications on the roads though, so no complaints there other than it makes a mess of our windshield. We got a couple inches of snow overnight on Monday.
We saw several crashes still as many people have little respect for the conditions and pretty much drive like they're on a race track. Back home in Georgia now and it's windy and cold but not like the 15 degree wind chill last night in Nashville. It was pretty chilly in Orlando today. Spring is just around the corner though, we have buds on the Peach trees already.

Heck, I will NEVER drive up into any area in the Winter months that puts salt on the roads to combat ice and snow. That crap will eat the hell out of your vehicle, and I certainly don't want that to happen to any of my rides. Heck, when I moved down here from Maryland, I had to replace the gas tank in the Bronco because it had rotted out from the salt. Salt and rust go hand in hand.

Oh yeah, 30.9 degrees here right now. So much for the "Florida like" weather....
