Fall/Winter 2024

Dang! Wednesday night it got down to 39.2 degrees! Been kind of chilly the last couple of days, too.

Yeah, it was 33 in Kentucky Wednesday morning, had frost on the windshield. It even felt good in Orlando and Lakeland yesterday. I'm wondering if we're going to see a cold, snowy winter in our travels this year. The past two have been relatively mild, almost no snow up there.

But what about the global warming catastrophe bearing down on us and going to destroy all of humanity???

23 and snowing in Kentucky on Wednesday morning this week. I tried to upload a photo but, file was too big.....

Well, 2025 sure has brought in plenty of cold weather. About getting tired of it.

It looks like our highs up here are stuck in the 50's for the next 7-10 day and lows in the 30's. But with us going to Kentucky every week and seeing all the snow and ice, I'll be happy and count our blessings. I'm seeing snow all the way down to Montgomery today and flurries just north of where I live. I saw a picture of the beach in Florida yesterday that was captioned, " I know it was hot when I said those things Summer, and I'm sorry. Will you please come back?"

Yeah, I am feeling like I got moved back to Maryland. I am thinking that when Pim goes back to Thailand next month, she may not want to come back because of this cold weather.

Yeah, but she says her friends say it is cold in Thailand too. I looked at a global map and the highest latitude for Thailand is BELOW the Florida keys. So I would think it would be quite a bit warmer than here. But the country is quite mountainous, and that may have an influence.

I went to Thailand for 3 weeks, and Pim came back with me for 3 months. She is an extraordinary woman. 67 years old. Retired school teacher. Divorced 7 years ago after a loveless marriage for 23 years. Used to teach yoga but still practices it every day. Unbelievably fit for her age.

I'm watching this carefully as we're (supposed to be) heading to Nashville on Wednesday morning.
