I saw a LOT of vehicles when I was out driving the C5Z today with their windshields literally covered with squashed bugs. I didn't hit any heavy pockets of them just driving between Tallahassee and Crawfordville, but apparently SOMEWHERE close by they are pretty heavy right now.

ya went for a motorcycle ride this evening in the country and hit quite a few, I had to wash the bike up good when I got home, and until they are gone I will be wearing my full face helmet, they like to get stuck in my beard....

Connie and I were down on Manasota Key all last week, and the love bugs weren't too bad down there. But coming home on Sunday we REALLY hit clouds of them on route 19 between New Port Ritchie and Crystal River. Had to stop ever couple of hours to clean off the front of the car and the windshield. We traveled down route 41 on the way DOWN there, and they weren't nearly as bad in that part of the state at that time.
Man, those suckers require some kind of elbow grease to get them off of the paint when they have baked on for an hour.

You got that right! Years ago, I worked for U-Haul and part of my job was to wash trucks coming in from cross country. Sometimes you couldn't even see the paint on the front of the truck or the cab because of the bugs, love or otherwise.

They were out and about today heading to St Augustine...nothing a wet rag and a little elbow grease could not cure...

Haven't been seeing much of a problem with them here around Tallahassee lately.
