Car stolen out of my garage - please be on the lookout

Heck of a first post but here goes. I have this posted on www.corvetteforum.com (as well as MANY other sites). SHADOW saw it there and suggested I put it here as well.


Any Orlando people PLEASE be on the lookout for my car.

My house was broken into earlier today and along with several thousand dollars worth of household electronics, jewelry and my wife and daughter's purse collection, the helped themselves to my car which was under a car cover in my garage.

It is a pristine Dark Highland Green (almost black) Mustang Bullitt with a 01 Cobra front fascia. It has 18" Wheel Replicas and plate # 2K1 6T8. Here is a picture of it:

The police are (supposed to be) looking for it. If you happen to see it PLEASE call the Osceola County Sherriff's Office. Hell, call 911.

They took the cover along with my car so hopefully this means they will be taking care of it. Somehow I doubt this, however. This car IS fast (even by Corvette standards, I think ;) )and the guy is not afraid to run from the cops. He out ran them pretty easily on Wednesday night.

Here are the mods that have been done. This car is ONE of a kind, I doubt there is another on like this on the planet. Any help would be appreciated.

Yesterday morning as i started my shift, I had a Bullett Mustang turn next to me at the light. All I saw was the name on the back and though:thumbsup: Let's do this!!!:yesnod:

Please have your son put the word out in his jurisdiction. Maybe print these pics out and have them duplicated and handed out.

im sure this doesnt help at all but i saw that car yesterday on i-4. only reason it caught my eye is because ive never seen the bullet emblems and was wondering what it was. sorry for your loss and i hope they nab that f*cker and you get your car back.

Where on I-4 did you see it? This was Friday?

It was seen on I-4 in Altamonte Springs headed toward Downtown Orlando on Wednesday at midnight (cops couldnt keep up) and again on Thursday night (11:30 PM) on I-4 between Sand Lake Rd and the 528. A taxi pursued it after calling the cops (who I don't think even responded) but obviously couldn't keep up.

Any additional info you can provide would be appreciated.
 
Sounds to me like you need to print up a flyer and distribute it to all the gas stations in the area. If an observant attendant sees the car and the driver uses a credit card, they can nab him that way if the cops don't respond to a phone call quickly enough. Hopefully the attendant will shut down that pump so the guy will have to leave being low on gas.

And what's with this "the cops couldn't keep up"? Don't they use radios?

Sounds like the guy is doing a lot of joy riding with your car. So he is obviously not too bright driving around in the evidence of his crime.

I'll be sure to keep my eyes peeled in the Tampa area as well. Not much of a Mustang fan but the way this one sounds it's a head turner.
Really sucks when someone steals the things you've worked hard to EARN!!
 
I just read all 15 pages of the saga!! Glad you got it back, a car like that, i was for sure was going to be gone 4ever!!

I bet your gonna be looking into Lojack huh ;)

I'm glad you got your car back but it sucks about the damage. Still, it could have been worse. Your bros did great tracking it down. Too bad the cops didn't get the guy.:mad:

True...but it ain't over.....There's still a stolen Benz running around and I'm sure somewhere, sometime, they'll find it.

In my 30 years of L/E I've found that eventually, the bad guys do get whats comming to them. Maybe not ALL they should get, but at least some.

Glad no one was seriously injured, the other vehicles were only slightly damaged and yours is repairable. And I'm glad no one died!:thumbsup:

What they did after they found it was stupid, irresponsible and dangerous!!!

You don't try yanking people out of a moving car...PERIOD!!! Ask the number of cops whove been killed or severely injured doing just that:(

Had the bad guy(s) in that car been armed, had the one guy that nearly got pinned between the cars actually had been pinned, we'd be planning funerals now:(

They should have let him get out and go inside. Instead of being Billy Badasses, use your freaking head! Disable the car and wait. The car would have been in one piece, and quite possibly, the perps would be in jail;)

But it all worked out well and thats what matters:thumbsup:
