• Got the Contributing Memberships stuff finally worked out and made up a thread as a sort of "How-To" to help people figure out how to participate. So if you need help figuring it out, here's the thread you need to take a look at -> http://www.corvetteflorida.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3581 Thank you, everyone! Rich Z.

$40k Ferrari Killer

WOW! But I seriously doubt you could have something like that on the street for only $40K. Probably not even close to that....

Depends on how much work you're capable of doing yourself and how much has to be farmed out?

The kit is 20k, you can find the donor engine and transaxle for around 6 total.

IIRC, it's gelcoated, so there's no paint work to do. and the interior I'd imagine you could have done if you shop around, for around 2k (+/-).

The rest would be miscl. parts and labor.

It could be definately be done:thumbsup:
It's one of the best kits out there in both design and function.

I'd take that over a C6Z06 anyday. Hot looking, probably run circles around them with the same engine, again likely to outperform them on the auto-x/road course and both have a fixed roof.

Is there a link to the people offering that kit? I'd like to take a look at the details.....

Anyone in Florida offering to build a turnkey based on this setup?

Building one myself is just not feasible. But I SURE like the looks of that creature.....

No one that I know of, but I'm sure someone would do it if you supplied the materials.
Hell, I'll bet Greg at AntiVenom could do it:thumbsup:

Well, between labor, kit, extra parts needed, and pretty much a donor car, I'm figuring on close to $60K realistically. If parts could be scrounged from wrecks, that would help reduce the price on things like the suspension stuff needed. Don't really need an LS7 as I think a LS6 in that light car would be PLENTY quick enough. I'm just not willing to scrap my C5Z, though....

Heck, if someone could build 5 to 10 of these a year for clients, they would probably have a pretty decent business. I know I would be interested. I just don't have a shop, time, nor experience to tackle something like this myself.

But if Greg were interested, I'd sure give this some serious thought.... Probably others here would as well.
