Window Tint in Jacksonville

I got mine done at a small shop that came recomended by another tint shop here in Orange Park. All I can say, is I won't recomend them to anyone.....
The young fella that owned the place had to do it twice and never could make the back window look decent around the matrix at the top.

I don't remember the name of the place but it is on Kingsley Rd. next to the Lowes.

Please post again if you find a quality shop that can handle the rear window complexity.

I will be going to Miami this weekend. I used to live down there and know about two or three tint shops. It is a shame that we do not have any good shops in Jax.

Tint Specialists on St. Johns Bluff Road on the Southside.... Beautiful job on 4 cars that I've had done there, over 4 years and no issues what so ever

You know, I wondered why my back window looked so funky. For certain, it's because of the tint job done on it! :banghead: The matrix part of it looks like something was spread on it and did not dry or stick properly. My car came out of the Ft. Lauderdale area, so I guess whoever did it there didn't know how to do it correctly either. Thanks for the tip to clear up that mystery for me.

The guy at tint specialists told me that it is hard to get the tint to stick at the matrix but he did a great job. no problems thus far

One of the other forums had a link to tinting a vette and the best looking jobs included either spray painting the matrix area and Not tinting it , or sanding down the dots prior to tinting.

I asked the fellow that did my job and he said that would be crazy to attempt.....then again, he thinks that the look of "wet", non sticking area around my matrix looks ok

amazing how people can stay in business with that type of attitude :nonod:
